OKLAHOMA CITY - A land dispute in Nevada between rancher Cliven Bundy and the federal government began decades ago. The Bureau of Land Management says Bundy was allowing his cattle to graze illegally, which triggered a round-up of about 400 head of cattle last week.
Bundy claims his family’s cattle have grazed on the land since 1870 without interference from the government. However, the Bureau of Land Management says Bundy hadn’t paid his grazing fees since 1993. Over time, officials say those fees have amounted to more than $1 million. As authorities herded the cattle, a standoff was sparked with members of the militia.

Organizers with the Oklahoma Militia say they have members in Nevada who claim Bundy’s cattle were unlawfully herded by the bureau. The Oklahoma Militia says it is made up of nearly 50,000 volunteers.
Members say they are taking Bundy’s side and fear this practice could spread to the Sooner State. Scott Shaw said, “Evidently in America we don’t actually own the property anymore, if you ever did.”
Shaw says Oklahoma Militia members are ready to take up arms against the federal government if needed.
He said, “It’s up to the feds, the balls in their court! You can do this legally or if you want to try to do a land grab violently, you can do that. We’re going to resist you!”
Shaw says the militia has not had to defend Oklahoma from the government yet but members are becoming concerned.
Shaw said, “Just look around the country, they are doing it everywhere. If they can do it in Nevada, they can do it in Colorado, Texas. I mean, what’s to stop them from coming to Oklahoma? The only thing to stop them is ‘We the People.”

Apparently IWI wasn’t aware of how popular bullpup rifles are in the United States.
According to a report from last month, the Israeli company IWI hoped to sell 6,000 civilian version Tavor rifles in the USA in one year. As of March, they had sold 15,000 in just 9 months.
According to IsraelDefense.com, the popularity caught IWI off guard,
According to Uri Amit, “We really intended to sell only 6,000 Tavor rifles in the USA in 2013. In reality, the number of rifles we sold was more than twice as high. The rifle was embraced with tremendous enthusiasm by the gun buffs and soon thereafter major articles began to appear in the American arms magazines. People uploaded clips showing live fire sessions to YouTube and reported that the rifle remained very accurate even after having fired a thousand rounds. Sales started immediately following the terrorist attack during the Boston Marathon in April 2013. People simply emptied the shelves. You can say, to some degree, that the US arms market was actually waiting for the Tavor rifle.”
The fact that it is not a “conventional format” rifle, one that is easy to get used to, did it make the market entry more difficult to accomplish?
“That is correct. Our greatest accomplishment is the fact that the Tavor rifle dominated a segment of the primary market for AR-15 rifles, despite the fact that its center of gravity is way to the rear and it does not belong in the category of such rifles as the M19. It is a firearm you can attach to your shoulder and fire like a machinegun even with one hand, while opening a car door or window. It is a stick of sorts that weighs only 7 kilograms instead of 12 kilograms, which is fairly standard for machine guns. The American public loved it very much…”
According to Uri Amit, the distribution of the Tavor rifle is expanding not just in the USA.
“Generally, 90% of our sales are intended for export, and that applies to the entire range of firearms we manufacture. The IDF are introducing the Tavor rifle into more and more units, but most of our sales take place overseas.”
Of course, to many of us in the US market, the success isn’t too surprising. IWI is producing a seemingly well built, reliable rifle that is actually shorter than many AR-15′s that are registered as short barrel rifles with the ATF.
Many Americans see bullpup designs as a way to have a compact rifle without having to go through the trouble of obtaining a tax stamp for a SBR.

Al Qaeda’s Underwear Bomb Plot Mastermind Killed By Special Forces In ‘Biggest Hit Since Bin Laden’!
- Ibrahim al-Asiri thought to be dead – most senior member since Bin Laden
- Al-Asiri believed to be behind explosive devices including pant bombs
- Comes after ‘U.S.’ backed forces engaged vehicle in gun battle

Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri, Al Qaeda’s chief bombmaker, is believed to have been killed in an ambush by U.S- backed special forces in Yemen
Al Qaeda’s chief bombmaker is believed to have been killed in an ambush by U.S- backed special forces in Yemen.
A 4×4 vehicle, believed to be carrying Ibrahim al-Asiri, 32, mastermind of the ‘underwear bomb plot’, was engaged in a gun battle with special forces, dropped in by helicopter.
Witnesses have described seeing soldiers take up position in the road, waiting for the vehicle to pass before opening fire.
Those inside managed to shoot back, but all inside were reportedly killed as their car was pelted with bullets, The Times reports.
Troops took sniffer dogs with them as they identified those inside and later confirmed one was a ‘high value militant’. If al -Asiri is confirmed as among the dead, he would be the most senior al Qaeda member to be killed since Osama bin Laden in May 2011.
Al-Asiri is believed to be behind a range of explosive devices including pant bombs and liquid explosive implants which contain no metal parts making them virtually undetectable.
He was said to be the mastermind of the Christmas Day bomb plot, when a Nigerian man attempted unsuccessfully to detonate a device aboard a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. He has also been linked to the cargo planes bomb plot in which explosive ink cartridges were intercepted at airports in the East Midlands in the UK and Dubai en route from Yemen to the United States.
On Saturday and Sunday, several air strikes – thought to be carried out chiefly by U.S. drones – were launched on central and southern provinces of Yemen.
It is thought that the operation was launched from a undisclosed desert air base in eastern Saudi Arabia, close to the Yemeni border.

At least 14 people, including 12 al-Qaeda suspects, were killed on Saturday in a drone raid in the central Yemeni province of Bayda, Yemeni media reports said
It said three of those killed were leading members of al Qaeda. Yemen said 10 al Qaeda militants were killed in Saturday’s attack.
A senior security source said investigations were being carried out into the identities of those killed, but confirmed that ‘leaders in the organisation’ had died.
It is believed that those killed also include Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula AQAP leader Nasir al-Wuhayshi.
Witness Obeid Awad said: ‘Minutes after the car (with militants) was hit, we saw helicopters hovering overhead and military cars spreading. Soldiers were seen disembarking from one of the helicopters. After they left, we found the struck car but we could not find any body parts.’
Local and tribal sources over the weekend said unmanned drones had been circling for days prior to the attacks.
Yemen is among a handful of countries where Washington acknowledges using drones, though it does not comment publicly on the practice.
Faris al-Saqqaf, an advisor to the Yemeni president, said that Yemeni fighter MiG-29s joined in the operation in Shabwa.
AL-QAEDA’S BOMB-MAKER IN CHIEF: THE EXPLOSIVES MASTERMIND WHO EVEN RECRUITED HIS OWN BROTHER FOR A SUICIDE ATTACK
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian man who unsuccessfully carried out the 2009 Underpants Bomb Plot
Known as Al-Qaeda’s bomb-maker in chief, Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri is believed to be behind a range of explosive devices including pant bombs and liquid explosive implants which contain no metal parts making them virtually undetectable.
Al-Asiri, 32, who is linked to the Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) group, was reported to have recruited his own brother Abdullah al-Asiri as a suicide bomber in a failed 2009 attempt to assassinate Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of the Interior.
An early version of his pant bomb was used in the the 2009 Christmas Day bomb plot, when Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted unsuccessfully to detonate the device aboard a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit.
An updated version, which incorporated fail-safe triggers and used a new kind of explosive that was even harder to detect was supplied for a terrorist attack in May last year to mark the anniversary of Osama Bin Laden’s death.
That plot was foiled when the suicide bomber turned out to be a double agent and handed the device to the FBI.
He is also believed to have been behind a pair of explosives-laden printers that were mailed from Yemen to the U.S. in 2010 and were intercepted at East Midlands airport and Dubai.
In September last year he was reported as having been possibly killed in a drone strike together with other AQAP suspects but a Yemeni government official later denied the claim.
He is currently considered to be one of America’s most wanted men. ‘He’s the main guy,’ said one counterterrorism official. ‘He’s the top of any list.’
Al-Asiri has been described as a critical component of al Qaeda’s activities in Yemen and his death would be a significant blow to the organization.
According to a report in The New York Times, “Bush left public office seven years ago with a net worth of $1.3 million and an unapologetic determination to expand his wealth, telling friends that his finances had suffered during his time in government.”
Bush tried to prop up Lehman Brothers before it collapsed and almost took down the financial system with it, eventually costing taxpayers billions of dollars to bail out banks. This galvanized what would become the Tea Party movement. He has also been associated with some troubled and shady companies and executives, as well as a company that promoted Obamacare.
Bush’s associations with Lehman Brothers may prove more troubling for someone the Tea Party already distrusts for his unabashed support of amnesty and the Common Core:
Records and interviews show, for example, that Mr. Bush participated in the fevered, last-ditch efforts to prop up Lehman Brothers, a Wall Street bank weighed down by toxic mortgage-backed securities. As a paid adviser to the company in the summer of 2008, he met with Carlos Slim Helú, a Mexican billionaire, as Lehman sought to persuade Mr. Slim to make a sizable investment in the firm, emails show.
Within a year of departing the Statehouse, he had signed on as consultant to Lehman Brothers, where he was eventually enlisted to reach out to Mr. Slim in a plan code-named Project Verde. Mr. Slim, however, was not interested in making a major investment in Lehman Brothers or striking up a joint venture with it. “Project Verde was unsuccessful,” Mr. Bush wrote to a Lehman colleague in early July 2008.
Lehman executives talked openly about the value of Mr. Bush’s family connections in the midst of the crisis. Lehman’s chief executive, Richard S. Fuld Jr., discussed the possibility of having Mr. Bush ask his brother President Bush to persuade the British prime minister to allow Lehman’s emergency merger with a British bank, according to testimony from the company’s bankruptcy case. Mr. Fuld never followed through, and Mr. Bush did not call the president, a spokeswoman for him said.
Barclays, which took over Lehman Brothers, reportedly pays Bush “in excess of $1 million a year,” according to the report.
The Times also reports that Bush was a paid director for a company, Tenet Health Care, that aggressively supported and promoted Obamacare because it would be profitable for the company. He may have to explain his connections to GOP primary voters–and an increasing number of Americans–who staunchly oppose the law.
InnoVida brought Bush on board its company in 2007, but the company went bankrupt in 2011, and its “founder went to jail and investors lost nearly all of their money,” the Timesreports: “It turned out that the leaders of InnoVida, a manufacturer of inexpensive building materials, had faked documents, lied about the health of the business and misappropriated $40 million in company funds, records show.”
A Democrat “who lost millions on his investment in InnoVida,” however, said that once he told Bush about the “major problems inside the company, the former governor acted swiftly and forcefully to investigate them” to protect the shareholders.
Nonetheless, Bush has been accused of “insufficient oversight” at a company that lost more than three-quarters of its value:
Mr. Bush sat on the board of Swisher Hygiene, a soap maker, at a time when, its executives acknowledged, their financial statements were unreliable and their accounting practices inadequate. That admission contributed to a plunge in stock price that has wiped out more than three-quarters of Swisher’s value and touched off a wave of shareholder lawsuits. Several have named Mr. Bush as a defendant, accusing him and fellow board members of insufficient oversight.
The Times implies that Bush may not run for president if he does not want to break up his lucrative business portfolio.
Iran has received $2.55 billion since February
The United States has released $1 billion in cash assets to Iran in April alone under the interim nuclear deal aimed at ratcheting back Iran’s nuclear program, according to the White House.
The Obama administration unfroze Iranian assets totaling $550 million on April 10 and another $450 million on April 15. The United States has now released $2.55 billion to Iran since February, when the scheduled cash infusions first began.
The cash releases were contingent upon Iran halting some aspects of its nuclear program and scaling back its stockpiles of highly enriched uranium, the key component in a nuclear weapon.
In return, Iran was promised these monthly cash infusions from Washington.
While the White House maintains that Iran will receive about $7 billion in economic relief under the interim accord, outside experts calculate that with oil revenues and other business deals Iran could pocket at least $20 billion over the next several months.
Lawmakers remain concerned that the White House continues to release funds as Iran maintains its support for terrorism.
“It’s an outrage that the administration continues to provide massive sanctions relief to Iran, even as the Iranian government maintains its brazen support for terrorism and continues to develop advanced missile and nuclear warhead technologies,” Rep. Peter Roskam (R., Ill.), the House’s chief deputy whip, told the Washington Free Beacon. “Iran’s economy is gradually recovering thanks to the White House’s latest move to unfreeze billions of dollars as a part of the nuclear agreement signed last year, yet we’re no closer to ending Iran’s illicit nuclear weapons program.”
“How can this White House justify bolstering Iran’s economy by giving them the one thing they desperately need, while the mullahs continue to violate international obligations and pursue an incredibly dangerous nuclear weapons capability?” Roskam asked.
Japan has paid Iran some $1 billion for crude oil deliveries, adding to concerns that Iran is profiting much more than the White House anticipated.
“Iran is on pace to receive at least three times the amount of sanctions relief than the White House originally predicted,” according to Matan Shamir, research director for the advocacy group United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI).
Iran has earned some $7.33 billion in extra profits from crude oil exports from November through February of this year, according to Shamir.
Iran is scheduled to receive another $550 million on May 14, then again on June 17, followed by one last $550 million release on July 20 if Iran proves to have fulfilled its end of the nuclear bargain.
Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister and one of its chief negotiators, confirmed receiving the latest $450 million installment and said that the money has already been deposited into the Central Bank of Iran, according to the country’s state-run media.
The April 15 cash release was supposed to be “contingent on the [International Atomic Energy Agency] confirming that Iran has completed dilution of its entire stockpile of near-20 percent enriched uranium it is required to dilute,” according to a White House fact sheet released shortly after the deal was signed.
However, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says that Iran has cut its key uranium stockpiles by 75 percent, according to Reuters, raising questions as to whether Iran is fully complying with its requirements.
When asked for further information on Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal and the recent release of cash assets, the White House referred the Free Beacon to the Treasury Department, which did not respond to inquiries by press time.
State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters late last week that “all sides have kept the commitments made” under the deal and that “as Iran remains in line with its commitments,” the United States and Western nations “will continue to uphold our commitments as well,” according to Reuters.
Just days before the latest funds were released to Tehran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani predicted that the country will “witness the sanctions shattering in the coming months.”
“With your support, this government has taken the first steps towards the lifting of the brutal sanctions. … We will witness the sanctions shattering in the coming months,” Rouhani told a crowd during a tour of Sistan-Baluchestan, a restive underdeveloped province bordering Pakistan.
“Today we already see the sanctions unraveling,” Rouhani was quoted as saying last week by Iranian news outlets.
Iran is required to dilute its stockpiles of 20 percent enriched uranium, which it could have easily converted into fuel a nuclear bomb.
The IAEA has said that Iran has diluted half of its stockpiles and is working to convert the other half of its highly enrich uranium into fuel for a reactor.
The IAEA additionally found that Iran is experiencing delays in the construction of a facility aimed at ensuring that Iran cannot further enrich uranium in weapons-grade material.
The delay means that Iran’s uranium stockpiles will continue to grow until the facility is complete.
Ongoing nuclear negotiations with the West have recently been eclipsed by Iran’s announcement that it is completing a trade deal with Russia worth some $20 billion.
The deal will enable Iran to trade crude oil for goods from Moscow and has prompted concerns on Capitol Hill that it will open the floodgates for nuclear materials and weapons to flow into Tehran.
Senators say that the deal would flatly violate the terms of the interim agreement.
Another issue of concern is the substantial rise in Iranian oil exports, which have steadily increased over the past five months.
Iran exported 1.61 billion barrels of crude oil in February alone, resulting in about $2.71 billion in extra profits.
“The additional oil revenues alone have already exceeded that $6 to $7 billion figure,” said UANI’s Shamir. “Iran is now exporting more than twice the oil it was exporting before the Geneva deal was signed, which translates to $7.33 billion in extra oil revenue for the regime through February.”
