After the federal Bureau of Land Management agents backed down from their intimidating stance at the Bundy Ranch last weekend, ample evidence has surfaced indicating the standoff between the government and the Nevada ranching family is far from over. Throughout the weeklong stalemate, members of the Bundy family were physically assaulted by armed officers, numerous cows were shot dead, and protesters faced threats of gunfire for merely expressing their outrage.
Immediately after what many considered a victory against a tyrannical federal agency, a number of leftist voices – most notably, Sen. Harry Reid – indicated the action against this family will continue.
In response, Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman sent a letter to Barack Obama, Department of the Interior Sec. Sally Jewell, and BLM Director Neil Kornze, laying out his position that any such action by the agency would violate the U.S. Constitution.
“Because of this standoff,” he wrote, “I have looked into BLM’s authority to conduct such paramilitary raids against American citizens, and it appears that BLM is acting in a lawless manner in Nevada.”
He cited the limited powers granted to the federal government, noting the bureau has no “right to assume preemptory police powers, that role being reserved to the States,” and explained “many federal laws require the federal government to seek assistance from local law enforcement whenever the use of force may become necessary.”
The letter included a section of the U.S. Code — 43 U.S.C. Section 1733, Subsection C — stating exactly that point. [Emphasis Stockman's]
“When the Secretary determines that assistance is necessary in enforcing Federal laws and regulations relating to the public lands or their resources he shall offer a contract to appropriate local officials having law enforcement authority within their respective jurisdictions with the view of achieving maximum feasible reliance upon local law enforcement officials in enforcing such laws and regulations.”
In the case of the Bundy Ranch, he continued, “the relevant local law enforcement officials appear to be the Sheriff of Clark County, Nevada, Douglas C. Gillespie.”
Gillespie, however, conspicuously took a back seat to BLM forces during the standoff.
“Indeed,” Stockman wrote, “the exact type of crisis that the federal government has provoked at the Bundy ranch is the very type of incident that Congress knew could be avoided by relying on local law enforcement officials.”
The stated purpose of the correspondence is for the Obama administration “to bring the BLM into compliance with 43 U.S.C. section 1733.”
Absent a full investigation into the agency’s actions, he concluded, “the federal government must not only stand down, but remove all federal personnel from anywhere near the Bundy ranch.”
Legislators and law enforcement personnel have stood alongside state militia members and the Bundy family in opposing the excessive force employed by the BLM. Stockman’s letter adds even more weight to the growing sentiment against the federal overreach.

I THINK YOU ALL WILL ENJOY THIS! GOD BLESS!
Rancher Cliven Bundy looks like he could still be in a heap of trouble for having thoroughly ticked off Fedzilla and the Keebler elf himself, Harry Reid.
Being the peacemaking Christian that I am, herewith are ten ways Cliven Bundy could get the Feds off his backside and actually ingratiate himself to the big government droogies of the Left.
1. Bundy should fire his ranch foreman and hire Jay Carney who could effectively lie his butt off about Cliven’s cows. “Eating grass? His cows aren’t eating grass. What are you talking about? These are the most transparent, grass adverse, cows ever.”
2. Bundy should rename his ranch “Benghazi” , then the Feds would never show up. Ever.
3. Staying with the Benghazi motif, Bundy could also blame his cows’ raid upon the BLM’s grass flats the result of an anti-Muslim YouTube video. Case closed.
4. Bundy should start boldly smoking and selling grass versus having his cows eat the grass.
5. Bundy should become, for the remainder of his life, a vile race-baiter. If he sold nothing but hate towards whites and conservatives, he could owe the IRS two million in back-taxes and they’d include him during White House fundraisers and MSNBC would give him his own talk show. Problem solved.
6. Staying in the racist vein, Bundy could join the New Black Panthers Party, change his name to Shabrique Shazamm and intimidate all the white devils when they show up to vote during the upcoming midterms. Can you say, “Instant protection by the DOJ?”
7. Bundy should get gold-capped teeth, trade his cowboy hat in for a hoodie, walk around holding his crotch and say “mother-%&#$@” every other word. He’d be hailed as a victim and a poet. A victim poet, I tell you.
8. Bundy should build a mosque on Ground Zero. If he did that he’d own half of Nevada.
9. Bundy should start hanging out with Latin dictators and expand his enterprise from cattle ranching to a gun running operation for drug cartels south of the border. Do it, Cliven. Like, muy pronto.
10. Finally, and especially, Bundy should claim that he was the inspiration for Brokeback Mountain. If CB played the gay card they’d throw him a party at the White House and the BLM goons, wearing Daisy Dukes, would serve him and his posse a desert tortoise consommé.

The White House quietly announced that President Obama signed Senator Ted Cruz’s anti-terrorist ambassador bill into law. The bill was written to prevent the admission into the United States, any representative to the United Nations who has engaged in espionage or terrorist activities against the United States.
Senator Cruz offered his gratitude to the White House in a public statement.
“Thank you President Obama for joining a unanimous Congress and signing S. 2195 into law today,” Cruz said. “We have shown the world that when confronted with virulent anti-Americanism, we can stand together in defense of our national security. The combined, bipartisan support of both the Congress and the President sends Iran—and other rogue nations—the clear signal that the United Nations is not a back door through which they can attack the United States of America.”
Breitbart Texas previously reported the unanimous passage of the bill in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate.
“Congress has voted unanimously in support of a bill to reject Iran’s deliberately insulting nomination of a known terrorist – one of the 1979 hostage-takers – to be their ambassador to the United Nations,” said Sen. Cruz in a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas after the bill’s passage.
A previous Breitbart Texas article reported, “Iran recently appointed Hamid Aboutalebi to be their next ambassador to the UN—once an active participant in the group of terrorists who attacked the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days.” This prompted Sen. Cruz to submit the bill which has moved with blinding speed through both houses of Congress.
On April 11, President Obama formally rejected Iran’s visa application for Aboutalebi. The Obama Administration specifically cited Aboutalebi’s connection to the Iranian student occupation of the U.S. Embassy in 1979 that led to the hostage crisis.
Iran rejected the Obama Administration’s denial of the visa stating “This decision of the U.S. government has indeed negative implications for multilateral diplomacy and will create a dangerous precedence and affect adversely the work of intergovernmental organizations and activities of their member states,” Iran’s Deputy U.N. Ambassador Hossein Dehghani was quoted as stating in a Fox News report.
The bill, now U.S. law, represents a refreshing change of pace in the highly partisan-charged atmosphere that currently reigns in Washington, D.C. The bill received unanimous support in the Republican-controlled House and the Democrat-controlled Senate. While many describe Senator Cruz as a highly charged icon of the conservative right, he was able to bridge the gap and bring the entire Congress and the White House together on this issue.
While the issue is now codified into law, there was already precedent for the Obama Administration’s denial of the visa. During the 1980s, the White House denied visas for several Iranians who had played roles in the embassy hostage crisis or other acts against American citizens according to Fox News.
Iran has not indicated whether it will submit another name at this time.

Image: Cattle Grave (Bundy Ranch Facebook).
Posted to the official Bundy Ranch Facebook page, the gruesome image shows several dead cattle being removed from a makeshift grave discovered just this weekend.
“Digging up 1 of the HUGE holes where they threw the cows that they had ran to death or shot,” the picture’s description reads. “I feel that this NEEDS to be put out for the public to see.”
The picture backs up reports by several people including Nevada assemblywoman Michele Fiore, who commented on the BLM’s cattle graves last Tuesday.
“Near their compound, right off the highway, they were digging holes,” Fiore said. “They tried to bury some cows on the compound, but I guess they didn’t dig the hole deep enough, so they throw a cow in and they put dirt over him and you have cows’ legs sticking up out of the dirt.”
Although the BLM’s court order only permitted the agency to seize Bundy’s cattle, federal agents have thus far already admitted to shooting and killing two prized bulls, claiming the animals were a “safety hazard.”
Image: Prized Bull (Bundy Ranch Facebook).
Video from the area also revealed holes in water tanks, a smashed tortoise burrow, as well as destroyed fences and water lines.
“They had total control of this land for one week, and look at the destruction they did in one week,” Corey Houston, family friend of Cliven Bundy, told Fox News last week. “Nowhere in the court order that I saw does it say that they can destroy infrastructure, destroy corrals, tanks … desert environment, shoot cattle.”
Despite a clear and violent overreach by the BLM, Nevada Senator Harry Reid has responded to the incident by calling Bundy and his supporters “domestic terrorists.”
“There were hundreds, hundreds of people from around the country that came there,” Reid said at an event in Las Vegas. “They had sniper rifles in the freeway. They had weapons, automatic weapons. They had children lined up. They wanted to make sure they got hurt first … What if others tried the same thing?”
Unsurprisingly, proof of automatic weapons being present during the stand off between peaceful protesters and the BLM was not provided by Reid. Video of the incident also clearly shows only men and woman, most of whom were unarmed, lined up peacefully.
Whether it be assaulting a cancer survivor, attacking a pregnant woman, tasereing protesters, killing animals or unleashing an attack dog, all extreme behavior has exclusively come from the BLM.
Nevada assemblywoman Michele Fiore clashed with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes regarding rancher Cliven Bundy’s conflict with the federal government on Friday.
As Hayes pressed Fiore about her position on the standoff, she relentlessly criticized the government’s handling of the situation.
“Why are you there near the Bundy ranch tonight celebrating?” Hayes asks.
“Questioning why the heck the federal government felt the need to come in armed to collect an unpaid bill. I mean, that was pretty bold and blatant,” Fiore said. “I mean, generally when my — when our federal government comes in armed, we’re expecting a bigger problem… We will not allow governance by gunpoint, ever.”
When Hayes asked if Fiore agreed with Cliven Bundy, Fiore grew angry.
“No, Chris. Don’t put words in my mouth. I’m not saying I agree with Cliven Bundy. What I’m saying is the way this was handled is really suspicious,” she replied. “I mean, if we literally sent our federal government to the borders to secure ‘em against terrorists crossing, hey, I got that. But they want to come here with arms because cows are grazing? That’s uh — Chris, I’m sorry, I think you’re out of your mind.”
After pointing out that the damages Bundy owes haven’t even been defined, Fiore went in for the kill. “If you owed the federal government money, Chris, do you want them coming to your house pointing guns at your wife and children? Is that OK with you?”
“No,” Hayes replied. “But is it OK with you if every rancher in the country stops paying their grazing fees?”
Fiore said no, but insisted, “Don’t come here with guns and expect the American people not to fire back.”
When Hayes drew a comparison to an illegal immigrant taking up arms to avoid being deported, Fiore wasn’t having it. “Are we talking about cows or illegal immigration, Chris? ‘Cause I’m talking about cows today.”
When Chris implied the cows the government slaughtered will be slaughtered anyways, Fiore rebutted his point.
“So are you saying it’s OK to cruelly slaughter them, because they’re gonna be — they’re raised for beef? Is that what you’re saying, Chris? ‘Cause I hope you retract those words, ’cause that’s pretty, pretty sad, Chris.”
“No. No don’t put words in my mouth,” Hayes said. “Of course I don’t think that… Thank you so much. Enjoy the barbecue!” By Rachel Stoltzfoos via The Daily Caller
POLYGAMIST CELL ORDERED TO SELL RANCH
Just outside the west Texas town of Eldorado, Schleicher County Sheriff’s Deputies (SCSO) and officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) met this week with members of the Yearning for Zion Ranch and began the process of confiscation for the 1,600 acre facility. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott’s office filed for forfeiture of the property in 2012 and a State District Court Judge issued a final judgment in January 2014.
In a statement from the DPS obtained by Breitbart Texas, “At approximately 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, the Schleicher County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety met with current residents of the property and provided them with copies of the court orders applicable to the forfeiture – the residents have agreed to vacate the property.”
Law enforcement officers are reportedly working with the property’s residents and are providing all reasonable actions to assist them in their departure. The officers will be obtaining an inventory of real property on the facility and will protect all assets which now belong to the state. The DPS reported there were only eight adults currently in residence.
It is not known, at this time, if an appeal of the judge’s ruling and the state’s action will be taken by the ranch’s residents.
According to a report in the Dallas Morning News (DMN), this action comes six years after the FBI raided the property and removed hundreds of children because of allegations of child sexual abuse. The group’s leader, Warren Jeffs, was convicted of sexually assaulting two girls he took as child brides and is currently serving a life sentence in a Texas prison.
In April 2008 the FBI, along with state and local law enforcement officials, raided the compound due to allegations of underage girls being forced into bigamist marriages. The officials seized 439 children and placed them in protective custody. The raid immediately received national attention from TV and other news media outlets.
Eventually, the Texas Supreme Court ruled the government had no right remove the children and lacked sufficient evidence to show the children were in immediate danger, according to a CNN report.
General Abbott’s office asked the judge to allow the forfeiture by alleging that the group’s leaders financed a $1.1 million purchase of the land in 2003 through money laundering, according to the DMN report. Additionally, the state claimed the property was used to facilitate sexual assaults against children. Texas law allows the seizure of property that was used to commit or facilitate certain criminal actions.
