The Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist network has claimed responsibility for two bombings that killed dozens of people Thursday.

One bombing occurred in Iraq and another one in Pakistan.

At least 48 people were killed in Baghdad in the third blast in the Iraqi capital in three days, security and medical sources say.

A car packed with explosives blew up near car dealerships in the Shia area of al-Bayaa in the south of the city. More than 50 people were injured, BBC reported.

ISIS claimed the attack, saying it targeted “a gathering of Shias”.

Also, a suicide bomber blew himself up in a world-famous shrine in southern Pakistan, killing at least 35 people and wounding more than 50 others, according to officials there. ISIS claimed responsibility for the bombings through its Amaq media agency.

The ISIS terrorist detonated his suicide jacket when hundreds of worshipers were performing their weekly mystical dance — called Dhamal — at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, named after the famous Sufi saint buried there, in the town of Sehwan in the southern Sindh province, according to senior police officer Rashad Hayat, FOX reported.

The military reported it was dispatching troops to contribute to the relief effort.

Medics have warned the number of fatalities and injuries could rise as they struggle to cope with scores of people wounded in the attack.

ISIS has carried out near-daily attacks in Baghdad even as U.S.-backed Iraqi troops regain ground from the terror group. The military has engaged in an intense operation to regain the ISIS hub of Mosul in northern Iraq since October.

Another four attacks in and around the city on Thursday killed eight people and wounded around 30, police and medical officials said.

God Bless.
