Sassy Liberty AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

The FAA has confirmed that two people have been killed after a Virginia state police helicopter crashed in Charlottesville around 5:00 P.M. EST on Saturday.  Both the pilot and his passenger were killed instantly.  Black smoke could be seen for miles from the scene of the crash.

The crash occurred in a wooded area near a home close to the Birdwood Golf Couse on Old Farm Road in Albemarle County, according to local news affiliate WJLA. Locals have reported the helicopter hovering low to above a home before crashing into the woods.

Radio dispatch reveals the tragedy as it unfolded.  The crash is under investigation and is believed to be associated with the violence that erupted in Charlottesville as a result of the rally, however, that is not yet confirmed as the investigation is still ongoing.

Charlottesville is the location of the “Unite the Right” rally of white nationalists and their Antifa counterparts. Both sides clashed violently and the governor of Virginia declared a state of emergency as a result. Both state and local police worked to disperse the hundreds of protesters after it erupted in violent clashes.

President Donald Trump in a tweet said two Virginia State Police troopers died. “Deepest condolences to the families & fellow officers of the VA State Police who died today,” he wrote. “You’re all among the best this nation produces.”

President Donald Trump has also condemned “in the strongest possible terms” what he called an “egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides” after the events in Charlottesville. The President is also immediately calling for “a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives.”

Many locals denounced both factions citing there was enough blame for the violent events of the day to go around on both sides. This is the most recent confrontation in Charlottesville since the city about 100 miles outside of Washington, D.C., voted earlier this year to remove a monument of Gen. Robert E. Lee continuing the erasing of history.
