Sassy Liberty AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

According to Forbes, Chairman and CEO of the Las Vegas Sands, Sheldon Adelson gave $5 million to support Trump in 2016 and yet another $40 million to boost Republican congressional candidates.  Las Vegas Sands is considered the largest casino company in America and Adelson himself commands a net worth of about $34.1 Billion.

Given the amount of money Adelson has put into Republican campaign coffers, his opinion carries considerable weight.  As such when Adelson speaks, telling allies that he supports a campaign against National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster people sit up and listen.  The campaign seeks to paint McMaster as anti-Israel and seeks to remove him from the White House altogether.

U.S. casino magnate Sheldon Adelson arrives for U.S. President Donald Trump's address in Jerusalem May 23, 2017.

According to Axios, Adelson wrote an email to Mort Klein, the president of the Zionist Organization of America.  Klein is heading up the campaign to oust McMaster and the email explains –

“Now that I have talked to somebody with personal experience with McMaster, I support your efforts.”

Previous reports had indicated that Adelson wielded his considerable influence towards McMaster, stating that he had nothing whatsoever to do with ZOA’s marked campaign to oust McMaster and that he was comfortable with the job McMaster was doing.

However, Adelson noted in the email that his change of heart came after speaking with Israeli-born CEO of Oracle, Safra Catz about a dinner she herself had with McMaster.

Klein noted that – “It certainly enlightened me quite a bit,” according to what Adelson stated to Klein in the email. The issue arose in that Adelson did not want to be publicly associated with the campaign. McMaster has faced heavy criticism for ousting political opponents inside the National Security Council that are in favor of the implementation of the President’s “America First” foreign policy.

A ZOA press release dated August 9 stated that “General McMaster should not maintain a position where he can continue to undermine President Trump’s policies on Iran, Israel and the fight against ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ – a term that General McMaster believes should not even be used.”

The press release calls for McMaster to be reassigned to an area unrelated to Iran or Israel, and provides a list of “Trump Loyalist” NSC officials who were “pro-Israel and opposed the Iran nuclear deal,” but were purged from the council by McMaster. The list continues with a list of McMaster’s appointees who are “hostile to Israel, favor the Iran deal, and are weak on, or seek to appease Islamists.”
