Sassy Liberty AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

There were reports of multiple shots fired at a local high school in Spokane, Washington.  The Spokane Valley Fire Department confirmed it responded to an “active shooter” at Freeman High School at around 10:30 a.m. Authorities have confirmed that at least one person is dead due to injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

The deceased is reported to have been a student at the high school. Three more have been confirmed as injured, according to NBC-affiliate KHQ.

The suspected shooter has been detained by local authorities but his identity has not been officially released at this time. The shooting occurred inside Freeman High School on the second floor.

All Spokane Public Schools, the Central Valley School District, and the Mead District are all on lockdown due to the shooting.

Parents are currently gathering at the gas station located next to the school.  They are lined up for miles down Highway 27 awaiting instructions for how to get their children. Parents looking to reunite with their children should report to the bus entrance gate at Hwy 27, Washington State Patrol troopers will escort people from there.  A reunification team has been formed for each school to assist in getting parents to their children.

They are not currently releasing high school students.  Students are currently being interviewed regarding the events of the day.

KREM2 reports the three injured people have been taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in stable condition. It is currently unknown if the injured are students or teachers.  High school students that were able to be evacuated from the scene were tweeting from inside the school about the incident.  A junior named Christina tweeted her status confirming the dire situation via social media.

The mainstream media descended on Christina’s tweet like vultures.  Not even knowing if the girl was safely out of harm’s way, they immediately responded to her tweet wanting to know if they could use her picture or interview her regarding what happened. Others were quick to tell them just how vile they felt their actions were, myself included.

As a parent myself, I imagine Christina’s tweet was an amazing comfort to her parents and let them know in real time that she had been evacuated and she was believed to be safe, not among the injured.  She’s a very smart girl.

Of course, many many others expressing prayers for safety for Christina and her fellow students while the events of this day unfolded.  People offering prayers of safety and expressing concern for the traumatic events across the globe.

Many others could not wait to politicize the events. Interviews have not even been completed with the students involved in the shooter events and full details are not even known at this time, yet some are ALREADY attempting to push the gun control agenda.

One such person called for “Every student should file a punitive damage lawsuit against the GOP & NRA. I say a couple billion should bankrupt both.”

As far as the shooter goes?  Well, according to Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich from the scene –

“The shooter is in the back seat of a patrol car right now.”

As of roughly noon, local time, Sacred Heart Hospital officials confirmed the presence of three pediatric patients from the school shooting and all were listed in stable condition.  They do not currently expect any additional victims at their facility.

Other firsthand accounts from students indicate that the student who died was a sophomore boy.  The injured three were girls with the shooting occurring in a hallway outside of a biology classroom. Though as of 1:00 p.m. local time the shooter had not been publicly identified by name, but he is believed to have been a sophomore at Freeman High School.
