Governor Candidate in THIS State Plans To Have ICE Agents Arrested If They Do Their Job…

Sassy Liberty AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

Alec Ross, the candidate for the Democratic party in the upcoming electoral race for governor of Maryland is vowing that if he is elected, he plans to have Maryland State Troopers arrest any Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agents that attempt to enforce federal immigration laws.

YES….you read that correctly.

Ross intends to have men and women arrested for upholding the Constitution, the Federal immigration laws of the United States, and doing their jobs to the best of their ability. Ross stated in an interview with Dan Rodricks, reporter for The Baltimore Sun –

“I swear to God, if the ICE officers violate the laws of Maryland and violate the rights of the citizens and guests of us here in the state of Maryland, I will have State Troopers arrest the ICE officers, and God bless the confrontation that brings with Donald Trump.

These ICE officers are very frequently violating the law.  God help you if you are Latino, even if you are a legal immigrant, you’re getting jacked up in East Baltimore, you’re getting jacked up in Takoma Park and in Silver Spring. It’s got to stop.”

Ross is a former senior adviser to Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State under President Barack Obama and he is challenging incumbent Republican Gov. Larry Hogan in the 2018 election.  Ross wrote “Industries of the Future,” a best-selling book on innovation,  and works as a senior fellow at Johns Hopkins University.  He is also listed as the co-founder of “One Economy,” a nonprofit that helps to deliver high-speed Internet and technology training to low-income communities.

In his interview with the Baltimore Sun, Ross made the wild and completely untrue claims that ICE is going door to door to the homes of immigrant and illegal aliens to “question” these people about their immigration status. He also accused them of making warrantless entries and unlawful searches in some homes, stating that “while there’s nothing the governor can or should be doing about enforcement actions that don’t violate state laws,” he would make sure “state laws are respected.”

Naturally, Ross blamed President Donald Trump for the increase in detainment and arrest of illegal aliens, stating ICE agents are not trustworthy making immigrants both legal and illegal afraid to send their children to school.

In late September, 28 illegal aliens in Maryland were arrested as part of a nationwide sweep of “so-called sanctuary jurisdictions” many of which have flat out refused to cooperate in any way with law enforcement. These illegal aliens were not those with what is known as “deferred status.” Instead, the sweep prioritized those individuals with criminal convictions, pending criminal charges, gang affiliations, and those who were immigration fugitives or had re-entered after being deported.

According to The Washington Times, a bill was introduced in March 2017 called the Maryland Law Enforcement and Governmental Trust Act.  This bill would have made Maryland a ‘sanctuary state’. However, it was withdrawn when it reached the State House in April amid a controversy in Montgomery County after a student accused two illegal aliens of rape during school hours at Rockville High School.  As a result of the national attention focused on that incident as well as another where a child was beaten at the same high school by an illegal immigrant current Governor Hogan vowed to veto the bill.  Federal Attorney General Jeff Sessions also strongly “rebuked” it.

In the state itself, the city of Baltimore, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County have all claimed sanctuary city status, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.
