Sen. John McStain was one of the first Republicans to come out against Roy Moore after Moore was accused of sexual impropriety, but he may need to have a look in the mirror.

Like most RINOs, as soon as the water became choppy, McStain jumped ship and abandoned his fellow Republican despite the fact there’s still no evidence of wrongdoing on Moore’s behalf. Regardless, he’s been sounding the alarm and calling for Moore to step down from the election.

Here’s his initial response:

“The allegations against Roy Moore are deeply disturbing and disqualifying. He should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of.”

Of course, the people of Alabama aren’t forced to vote for Moore, so if they decide to elect him, they will have made their choice on their own. But that’s besides the point.

As it turns out, McStain has a history of indecency himself, and he was also accused of sexual misconduct back in 2008. But with him it was merely a “smear,” whereas with Moore the allegations are being taken as gospel even though they’re not exactly coming from credible sources.

Western Journalism has more on McStain’s previous troubles [emphasis mine]:

In February 2008, The Post and The New York Times published stories alleging McCain had had an improper relationship with lobbyist Vicki Iseman. The stories both related that the senator had developed a close relationship with the lobbyist who had business before the Commerce Committee, which he chaired.

The severity of the allegations against McCain regarding Iseman were clear. He was potentially using his position in government to do favors for someone, who was at least his friend. At worst, she was his mistress and the senator was engaging in public corruption.

Clearly these allegations would be “disqualifying” not just for any seeking the highest office in the land, but for serving in the senate — if true.

After the piece was published, McCain’s campaign team swiftly issued a statement describing the story as “gutter politics,” and clearly part of a “hit and run smear campaign.”

Interesting, to say the least, that when McStain is accused of something, it’s “gutter policitcs,” but when Moore, an anti-establishment candidate is accused, it’s “disqualifying.”

This guy is something else. But it gets worse.

McStain also has a history of abandoning people when they need him the most. It’s well documented that while he was a POW in Vietnam, he sang like a bird to save his own hide, but when he arrived home from captivity he did the unthinkable – left is seriously injured wife to find someone younger and richer.

The Daily Mail reported [emphasis mine]:

When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of life-saving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter.

My marriage ended because John McCain didn’t want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens…it just does.’

Some of McCain’s acquaintances are less forgiving, however. They portray the politician as a self-centred womaniser who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to ‘play the field’. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons.

McCain was then earning little more than £25,000 a year as a naval officer, while his new father-in-law, Jim Hensley, was a multi-millionaire who had impeccable political connections.

But Ross Perot, who paid her medical bills all those years ago, now believes that both Carol McCain and the American people have been taken in by a man who is unusually slick and cruel – even by the standards of modern politics.

McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory,’ he said.

McStain is a stain on this country, through and through. While we can all certainly appreciate his service to our nation, his actions upon leaving the military have been less than honorable.

In fact, they’ve been downright reprehensible.

His own history speaks for itself.
