California Rep. Nancy Pelosi is in some hot water after a massive scandal from the 2016 elections was just exposed.

Pelosi, who infamously defended Rep. John Conyers from sexual assault claims because she considers him an “icon,” is once again in the middle of a case involving sexual assault, only this time instead of defending someone, she helped cover it up.

Yeah, it’s that bad.

According to a bombshell report from the Daily Caller, Pelosi was informed of the sexual assault allegations against Nevada Rep. Ruben Kihuen during his first Congressional run last year. However, rather than urging the first-term Congressman to back out of the race, she instead ignored the allegations, despite the fact she now says victims “must be believed,” then proceeded to dump millions of dollars into his campaign, leading him to a victory.

Lovely.

From the Caller:

During his campaign, Nevada Rep. Ruben Kihuen allegedly propositioned a female staffer for sex on multiple occasions and touched her thighs. The staffer resigned during Kuhen’s primary campaign as a result of his harassment, she told BuzzFeed.

Pelosi was quick to demand Kihuen’s resignation after the allegations became public, but she actually has known about the harassment allegations for a while, Kihuen told ABC News.

“I do find it interesting that the DCCC, Leader Pelosi and Chairman Ben Ray Lujan — they knew about these allegations last year,” he said. “They looked into them. They didn’t find anything, and they continued investing millions of dollars in my campaign. They went out there and campaigned for me.”

Naturally, Pelosi is denying the charges against her. However, it’s important to remember that she isn’t exactly the most reputable person on the planet.

In fact, just a couple of weeks ago, she came to the defense of her colleague Conyers during an appearance on NBC.

From Politico:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi defended Rep. John Conyers as “an icon in our country” on Sunday, after noting he deserves “due process” as he faces allegations of sexual misconduct.

“We are strengthened by due process,” the California Democrat said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Just because someone is accused — and was it one accusation? Is it two? I think there has to be — John Conyers is an icon in our country. He has done a great deal to protect women — Violence Against Women Act, which the left — right-wing — is now quoting me as praising him for his work on that, and he did great work on that.

“But the fact is, as John reviews his case, which he knows, which I don’t, I believe he will do the right thing,” Pelosi said.

Worse yet, when pressed on the matter, Pelosi attempted to discredit the women accusing Conyers of sexual misconduct.

“I don’t know who they are,” she said. “Do you? They have not really come forward.”

As a result of Pelosi’s reprehensible behavior, calls for her resignation have started to increase…from her own party.

“Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) says Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi “didn’t respect the women” she should “step down” from leadership”

“I’ve been calling for our leader to step down and allow a new generation of leaders to step up and lead our party forward for a long time. But what I don’t want to do is distract from the fact that this is a very serious issue,” the Massachusetts Democrat told MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki.

So that’s that. Pelosi may have come to her end in Congress once and for all, which isn’t a bad thing.

Don’t forget this is the same woman who told us we have to pass Obamacare to “find out what’s in it,” and has repeatedly been busted blatantly lying to the public throughout her entire time in office, and she’s the poster child for term limits.

So, let’s hope this is the proverbial straw to break the camel’s back.
